About SimpleNick's

Hey, I'm Nick! Some of you know me from Youtube, some from Instagram, and...lord some of you know me from Twitter now huh; wild. I'm a black sapphic creator whose goal in life is to just make cute things that make people smile.

I want people to feel seen by the comics and art that I create. My goal is to inspire people to recognize that no matter who they are or what they're going through, they aren't alone. Maybe that's ambitious but I'm working incredibly hard every day to put good things into the world.

Personally, I struggle with attention issues. It's something I've always repressed for the sake of of being what was expected of me. But recently, I'm letting myself feel free to put out into the world all the things I feel in that moment. It's led to impassioned projects like my werewolf rehab comic, consent badges, and shirt designs I've made in a 6 hour creative frenzy. This whole business was created from the nonsense that makes me- me, and the friends who are willing to support me. So whether its a comment, a share or supporting my shop, thank you for letting me see how far I can go.

A big part of our brand is our apparel. In 2019 we created this business in partnership with Ashley and Tony from Desert Zebra Designs. Ashley is a disabled artist with a muscle deterioration disease and through this brand we are able to create stunning, one of a kind works.

"A large part of why we created this online apparel store, is to raise awareness for a rare condition known as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Those with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome are known as medical Zebras. This identity has been adopted across the world and social media. There is a saying “When you hear hoof-beats behind you, you don’t expect to see a zebra.” This is because Doctors are taught to look for the more common diagnosis, not the unexpected. Doctors assume “Horses, Not Zebras” and never consider a "Zebra". You can't find the Zebra if you don't look for it." - Ashley
